I'm Jana and I would be happy to represent you in the student parliament once again in the next term. I have been working in university groups towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly campus my whole time at KIT. I have noticed that although the mood in the student body and society as a whole has become increasingly environmentally conscious and "greener" in recent years, for a long time my university only seemed to do what was necessary (legally and from a marketing point of view) in terms of climate and environmental protection. There was no sign of it courageously taking on the pioneering role I would like it to play. This contradiction between the actions of the university as an institution and the will of the students as its largest interest group finally brought me into university politics two years ago. In the StuPa, I want to make the students' voice heard and help shape the KIT of the future. The way there must be characterised by a determined fight against any kind of discrimination and a reorganisation of studies that must recognise students as more than mere "learning machines". Curricula and the campus should promote the physical and mental health of students and staff and leave room for (political) volunteering as well as student culture.
